Notice of Privacy Policy Revision (Effective Date: September 15, 2026)
Hello, this is SlitherMap.
We would like to inform you of a revision to Article 2 of the Privacy Policy (Personal Information We Collect).
The revised policy will take effect on September 15, 2026.
■ 1. Revision — Clarification That Connection Country Is Inferred
[Before]
· Connection IP address (server logs, security purposes)
[After]
· Connection IP address and the connection country inferred from it
(for server logs/security, blocking unsupported regions, and country-based access statistics).
For access statistics, only the number of users by country is counted, and IP addresses are not stored.
■ 2. Reason for the Revision
This service determines the connection country based on the connection IP address. It has
been used to block access from regions where the service is not available, and recently,
it has also begun to be used for statistics on the number of visitors by country.
The fact that IP addresses are collected (Article 2) and that they are used for statistical
analysis (Article 3) were already stated in the previous policy. However, the parenthetical
note in Article 2 described the purpose of use too narrowly as "server logs, security,"
which did not match the actual processing. This has therefore been corrected to accurately
reflect actual practice.
■ 3. About Country-Based Access Statistics
· What remains is only the number: "How many people connected from that country on that day."
· IP addresses are not stored. They are used only for calculations to filter out duplicate
connections by the same person, and the values used cannot be retrieved again due to the
storage structure.
· Individuals are not identified, and per-user connection history is not retained.
· The retention period is the same 90 days as server access logs, after which it is
automatically deleted.
· The country determined by IP may not be accurate. It is for statistical reference only
and does not affect your rights or conditions of use.
■ 4. What Is Not Changing
· No new categories of personal information are being collected.
· There is no change to the retention period.
· There is no change to third-party provision. Country determination is processed using an
internal server database, and IP addresses are not transmitted externally.
· There is no change to your rights (Article 7) or how to exercise them.
■ 5. Effective Date
In accordance with Article 9 of the Privacy Policy, this notice is provided 7 days before
the effective date.
It will take effect on September 15, 2026.
