Notice of Revisions to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (Effective Date: August 26, 2026)
Hello, this is SlitherMap.
In line with the change to metagrid1 integrated accounts for sign-up,
we would like to inform you that the relevant provisions of the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy have been revised and supplemented.
The revised content will take effect on August 26, 2026.
■ 1. Revision — Password Collection Statement
Article 2 of the Privacy Policy stated that "passwords are collected during sign-up,"
but this is not accurate.
Passwords for members who signed up through the integrated account are
managed by the metagrid1 integrated account system,
and this service does not store passwords.
The relevant statement has been removed and corrected to reflect the actual handling.
However, for accounts that signed up by email before the introduction of the integrated account (August 2026)
only, bcrypt one-way encrypted passwords are still
retained as before.
■ 2. Supplement — Information Received from the Integrated Account
We have specified in Article 2 of the Privacy Policy
that the following information is received from the integrated account and stored at sign-up.
· Email address and email verification status
· Nickname
· Nationality (ISO 3166-1 country code) and language settings
· Integrated account identifier (for account linking)
metagrid1 is operated by the same business entity as this service (MetaGrid, Business Registration Number
108-26-92861). Therefore, this does not constitute provision to a third party,
and your information is not being transferred to an external business.
■ 3. Supplement — Terms of Service
· Article 2: We have clarified that sign-up is only possible through a metagrid1 integrated account.
Guest mode remains available without sign-up,
as before.
· Article 5: We have clarified that if the integrated account is deleted or its use is suspended,
you will not be able to log in to this service,
and during that period you will not be able to use your remaining Crystals or
purchased items.
· Article 7: Since the password and authentication methods for member accounts are
managed through the integrated account,
we have clarified that password changes, resets, and account recovery must be handled through metagrid1.
■ 4. Supplement to Article 7 of the Privacy Policy
Even if you delete your SlitherMap account, your metagrid1 integrated account
will remain intact. If you wish to modify or delete information for the integrated account itself,
you may do so through metagrid1.
■ 5. What Is Not Changing
· Your existing Crystals and items will remain unchanged.
· There are no changes to Crystal pricing, distribution amounts, or how they are used.
· There are no changes to how Guest Mode is used.
· Accounts created before the introduction of the integrated account may continue to be used
under the previous method.
■ 6. Regarding the Effective Date
Article 9 of the Privacy Policy and Article 12 of the Terms of Service require notice 7 days before the effective date of any changes.
However, this notice is not a revision that changes the terms to your disadvantage,
but a correction to bring the documents in line with the actual handling already in effect.
We determined that reducing the period during which inaccurate statements remain in place
would be more beneficial to members, and therefore applied the correction immediately.
